The Carolina Players is a six-piece ensemble from Greenville, S.C. This old school group plays oldies tunes that are guaranteed to make you want to get out of your seat and dance the night away. This classic group can jam out to popular southern rock tunes you know and love or bring the house down with some rhythm and blues.

Prime Country Band

Prime Country Band of Asheville is a 5-piece ensemble that celebrates the very best in country music. Several members of the band have played together for years in various groups, with Prime Country Band forming in 2024. Front man for the group is Tim Austin, is a Nashville recording artist who has been on stage since the age of 18. Mark Crawford is the bass player and has toured with several national acts. Ron Hoeben is the lead guitar player who has played since age 11 and at the age of 13 he began working with country music legend Ferlin Husky as a member of his Nashville based touring band. If you love good country music and love to dance, do not miss this band’s debut at our live music venue.

Christopher M. Caruso is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who captivates audiences with his soulful vocals, intricate guitar work, and high-energy performances. His music blends elements of folk, Americana, and blues, creating a unique and engaging sound that resonates with listeners. Christopher's musical journey began in 1989, and he's been honing his craft for over 20 years. He's a seasoned performer, having toured the East Coast with the band Chaotic Past and collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including J.C. Tokes and Mitch McConnell and the Senators. While Christopher is a skilled collaborator, his solo performances truly shine. He weaves a tapestry of original songs, classic blues, and unexpected covers, often incorporating slide guitar into his dynamic sets.

The Casey Ray Band of Cleveland County, N.C., is a country/rock band led by young and talented country artist Casey Ray Greene. A singer/songwriter, Casey Ray fell in love with the acoustic guitar and singing at a young age. He now attends Belmont College while booking gigs to further his musical career. He and his band will rock the stage with tunes by some of his favorite country artists as well as some southern rock and bluegrass. Casey is the lead singer and plays rhythm guitar. Joining him on stage are band mates Will Brooks on bass, Collin Greene on Drums, and Jaret Carter on electric guitar.

Saluda Summer Sundays with Marley's Chain
Sunday June 15th
Marley’s Chain features David Hintz and Angela Christie, both on guitar, bass, vocals and percussion. They play originals and cover tunes and switch out instruments throughout their show. Both David and Angela have had solid solo careers and decades of performance and songwriting experience, with David’s influences based more on folk music and Angela’s in country. The combination of their individual styles gives them a unique blend of material and musical chemistry covering a range of genres including country, rockabilly, rock, pop and Americana. They are known for their tight arrangements, great vocals, upbeat presentation and a knack for having fun and connecting with audiences.

Asheville Junction

Asheville Junction is a bluegrass/Americana band from the high country of North Carolina. Their lively, entertaining shows are filled with hot fiddling,’ harmonies and more. Folks find themselves singing, clapping, and toe-tappin’ along to the music. Tierra Raiti, lead singer and fiddler for the band, has been noticed as a formidable rising musician, and was invited to appear on Woodsongs’ International Radio Show. Asheville Junction formed when mother-daughter duo Tierra and Maria Raiti moved to Asheville and joined up with five-time Four Corner States banjo champion Rudy Cortese, and second-generation mandolin luthier and player Christian Davis.

The Tokes Family Band brings genuine Americana with loads of originals and a whole host of retro cover tunes to the stage. J.C. Tokes is a guitar-playing, voice-forward performer, reigning from the lush mountainous land of misfits and outlaws, where moonshine stills and ramshackle cabins abound, in Western North Carolina’s infamous "Kingdom" of Madison County. Tokes tells life's tales with a blend of Appalachian rockabilly-blues, cosmic folk-country, and retro rock-n-roll. The band's eclectic set includes older B-sides and favorites along with original to-be-favorites. Their music spans funny and sad, sweet and raunchy. Tap a toe or shake a leg with JC and his brothers, Chris on bass and Jason on percussion!

Saluda Summer Sundays with Highway 52 Duo

Highway 52 Duo consists of two local musicians who have teamed up to bring the blues, 60s and 70s rock and Americana tunes to the stage. Bill Loftus of Flat Rock is a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, piano and excelling on the harmonica. His musical partner is Michael “Country” Carver who is known for his deep, rich vocals.

Matt Phillips Band of Easley, S.C., is a singer/songwriter who has been performing around the Upstate for the last few years. His band plays an eclectic mix of covers including favorites like the Allman Brothers’ “Whipping Post,” John Mayer’s “Gravity,” and The Beatles’ “Come Together.” Matt and his band mates also have a catalog of originals to share.

Saluda Summer Sundays with Rene Russell
Sunday June 29th
Rene Russell is a Charleston musician who settled in the mountains of WNC. She provides a show that looks at the journey of her life. Playing mostly originals, she flushes out a three-hour show with favorite cover tunes. Her “My Journey So Far Through My Song Titles,” reveals the path she has taken to find herself. With songs entitled “Once Upon A New Time,” “Who We Really Are” and “Choices,” her songs have allowed her to question her values, beliefs and spirituality while searching for that “Spec of Truth, The Key” that will unlock and reveal her soul’s purpose. Rene enthralls her audiences with her percussive 12-string way of playing music and her bass style thumping, claw-hammer pulling, finger-picking techniques.

Borderline Therapy Rock Band will continue the July 4th holiday weekend celebration on Saturday as they bring their high-performance, energetic act to the Saluda outdoor music venue. A Landrum based 5-piece band, they perform Rock of Ages with a smattering of country. Expect to hear an eclectic mix of 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s rock with some old school country that will entice you to dance, raise your fist and rock or even pull out your lighter. Whether you like the man in black or prefer teased hair, they have you covered with an audience involved, energetic performance. This band loves to entertain, and they have the know how to do it. Band Members are Ben Smith, guitar; Brady Caldwell, guitar; Reggie Fowler, vocalist; Michael Jackson, drums; and Jason Martin, bass. Newfound Gap Youth Bluegrass Band

Newfound Gap (Youth Bluegrass Band) hails from Leicester, NC., and they will be kicking off the annual Saluda Coon Dog Day Festival at our live music venue. They've played several stages including Merlefest, Appalachia Sessions TV, The Earl Scruggs Festival, Balsam Range's Art of Music Festival and the Youth and Kids on Bluegrass Stages for the International Bluegrass Music Association. They've won first place ribbons for best youth band at several fiddlers’ conventions in the Southeast and won second place in youth band at Galax. All have earned awards in their instrument categories. This sibling band ranges in age from 12 to 17. They include Bayla, banjo/guitar/vocals; Sylvie, fiddle/mandolin/vocals; Judah, upright bass/guitar/vocals; and Emme, upright bass/mandolin.
